WHY ARE THE TROPICS

THE HOME OF RUM?

LOCALLY GROWN AND SOURCED MOLASSES AND CANE JUICE

Our Sub-Atmospheric™ rum is crafted from locally grown sugar cane crushed at the industry leading Tully Sugar Mill, just down the road. That’s local!

Thanks to our climate, rich soils, dedicated cane farmers and the expertise at the Tully Sugar Mill, we are able to access some of the world’s best sugar products.  Tully area sustainable sugarcane is not forced by artificial irrigation.  Far North Queensland Wet Tropics has plentiful nutrient rich, natural rainfall to nourish the cane naturally. That’s one reason we can make such great tropical spirit.

Ageing

TROPICALLY AGED Rum Is

DIFFERENT

Barrel aging, the essential ingredient for rum, is a slow process. Good rum is worth the wait!  Our precious Sub-Atmospheric™ rum matures for at least two years in carefully selected barrels from around the world.

Ageing is highly climate dependant. Our tropical climate matures our rum two to three times faster than rum matured in cold climates.  That’s why REAL rums are created in the tropics.
